This site was created as part of a project for Programming for Cultural Heritage at Pratt Institute’s School of Information.  The data represented has been culled from a number of sources including OTRsite.com, the Internet Archive, and DBpedia.  These visualizations are primarily based off of the excellent radio logs available at http://www.otrsite.com/radiolog/index.html and are not meant to represent old time radio as a whole.

Old Time Radio is classically defined as the radio shows of the 1920’s-early 1960’s.  Radio at this time was the entertainment of choice for many Americans, but sadly much of this content has been lost over the generations due to poor preservation practices.  Valiant attempts have been made by many to catalogue and make available that which has survived, only a portion of which are represented within the visualizations on this website.
